The Band received news from Ian Smith, that he had decided to stand down as Musical Director of the Band, following a recent illness.  Ian Smith was instrumental in setting up the Band as a community Brass Band in 2008. 

Ex Player of the Band Mr Peter Fraser, has taken the Baton, temporarily until a new MD has been found.
